This is the first workshop in our new Webinar Workshop Series A. Technological literacy is the ability to use, manage, and problem solve, using technology. We will provide a variety of tools and information on how to manage technology as a means to increase your personal "human capital." We live in a world that is increasingly dependent on technology. It is particularly important in this technological world that we understand and are comfortable with the concepts and workings of modern technology. Experts predict more than 75 percent of jobs in America in the next decade will require some technology skills, but only 13 percent of American adults surveyed in 2006 were proficient in the knowledge and skills needed to search, comprehend and use information. So let’s take this opportunity to equip ourselves with tools that will allow us to manage information and technology and thereby becoming a more efficient, effective and productive member of the workforce, either as an employee or employer.
