Bridging the Technology Literacy Gap

This blog is designed to explore the wide gap between those who have access to technology and use it effectively and those who do not. The technology gap exists between those who can create and innovate to produce new technologies and those who cannot. It also exists between those who can access, adapt, master and use existing technologies and those who cannot. If we don't begin to embrace technology we risk the chance of becoming an extinct population of society in the workplace.

Are you ready to increase your job opportunities?

Beware the day that a job posting states the following:

Required - Microsoft Business Certification (MOS 2007 or MOS 2010) required. Individual must have the following certifications: MOS Word, MOS Excel, MOS PowerPoint.

Are you prepared for that day? It is coming...there are many reports today that state employers find a shortage of potential employees with desktop application skill sets (guess what, they are referring to whether you can add animation to a PowerPoint presentation, or create a pivottable in an Excel spreadsheet or create an index in a Word text document).

Are you scratching your head?
